PixelLight is released under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License (an addition to GNU General Public License) either version 3 of the license, or (at your option) any later version.

• Commercial products are possible as long as the LGPL 3 terms are respected
• Dynamically linking only
• Need to mention that the project is using PixelLight technology
• Changes to the PixelLight source code itself must be released under the terms of the LGPL 3
• Source code of project does not need to be released as open-source, as long as it only uses the engine

Commercial

If you are not able or don't want to comply with the terms of the LGPL 3 license, you should contact us for a commercial license.

• No need to mention that the project is using PixelLight technology
• Changes to the PixelLight source code don't need to be shared
• License per end user commercial product, independent of number of individuals working in the company
